How do I register with ServiceNinja?

If you don't have an account with ServiceNinja.com, one will be generated for you automatically when you post a bid request, based on your email address and your ZIP code.

If you are a business, freelancer, or individual looking for work and would like to bid on a customer’s request, you will first need to fill in a simple registration. All we require is email and zip code (registration shouldn't take more than 10 seconds). However, you can always browse the bid requests for free without bidding.

I registered but I didn’t receive an email to confirm, what happened?

Most likely, the confirmation email landed in your SPAM folder. Please be sure to check your spam folder for ServiceNinja emails. If this doesn’t solve the situation, please use the password recovery tool and a confirmation will be sent again.

Is there a cost to register?

Answer >>

No. Registration is absolutely free for everyone.

Can I change my password at anytime?

Answer >>

Yes. All users can change the default password for their account. My Account > General Setting > Change Password

 

 

FAQ - Request Services

How do I post a new bid request?

On the home page click Request Services then either use Search Categories or Browse Categories to select your required service category. Fill out the form to describe your need and the price you are willing to pay. If you are not logged in to your account or this is the first time you are listing a bid request, then be sure to confirm your new listing via the email link sent to your email.

How do I view/manage my bid request history?

All users can post, edit and delete their own bid requests. Once you are logged in to your account the option to post, edit and delete previous bid requests can be found under the My Account > Bid Request Settings page.

Can I change my budget after I post?

Yes. You are able to change your budget after you post a bid request if no bid has been placed. To do this, you must click Edit Posting on the top of your listing page.

Am I obligated to pay the amount I put in my budget?

No. However, we encourage honesty and accountability when you make the connection with the service professional. This will create a happier and more efficient marketplace if both parties are honest and accountable.

Will my contact information be available to the public?

No. All your contact information is kept private and at no point is it shared with any business, individual, or freelancer who browses your bid request. In fact, we encourage you to be as descriptive and honest as possible regarding your service request, but we also require keeping your contact information private until you have made a choice on the service provider.

Why is it important to keep an updated profile?

When a Client receives your bid, they'll have instant access to your contact information you've provided in your profile. If your profile is not filled in properly, you may lose a customer.

Before you make a bid, you have the option to hide your email or phone number based on your contact preferences. Service professionals are strongly advised to update their profiles with their current contact information.

How much information should I provide in my profile?

By providing more information, you increase the probability of potential customers contacting you. If you provide very little information, the customer might be skeptical about your service.

Why should I ask the customer to rate my service on ServiceNinja?

This is very important for you. You should encourage every customer to rate your service, so you can be more competitive and visible in the ServiceNinja community. The more ratings you receive and the higher the star ratings, the greater the chance you will have at bringing customers to your business.

What are Lead Notifications?

Lead notifications are vital to your business. As soon as a new customer lists a bid request with ServiceNinja, our unique system automatically will email, text, or call you to notify. This helps you save time and be more efficient.

How much does it cost to make a bid on a customer lead?

The first 10 bids are free. After that, ServiceNinja charges only $2.00. There is no obligation to bid on customer leads you see or browse through. If the customer's bid request can be met by your services, then you should bid for the customer’s job. Note: ServiceNinja only allows 5 bids per listing.

What if I need more information from the customer?

Before you place a bid, 3 questions can be asked by using Ask Now on each bid request page, in order to obtain more information for you to make a more accurate estimate. It is against ServiceNinja terms and conditions to provide any contact information in these messages.

Once a service professional has placed a bid, the service professional and the client can communicate through ServiceNinja's private messaging system. In this way, the customer may protect his/her contact information until a final decision is made. An indicator on your My Account page will alert you if you have any new messages.

How do I buy bidding credits?
